Hello everyone, and good morning,

I received this in my email yesterday, thought I would post it and see what everyone has to say on the subject. If you are an expecting parent, or have a question to post, please send it to: newdad2009@hotmail.com, and I will post it for you, like with this anonymous writer. Thanks for visiting, please check back soon,

"Hi, I have enjoyed followed your blog. I am an expecting mom with twins on the way (a little scary but also exciting). While reading Part 2 of the birth of your son, it got me thinking about birthing classes. Did you find these helpful? I am looking at taking some, but was wondering what you learn in them. Are they worth the time? Thanks for the info in advance and I look forward to your answer!"

  1. I took private classes with a doula and I found them pretty helpful. I'm not sure if you're a first time mom or not but if you are - I found that the doula asked me a lot of questions and brought up a lot of things that I hadn't thought of. I also thought that all of the tips she gave my husband and sister to help me through labor were really good and turned out to be really helpful! At the time I didn't think they would work but they did!
Anyway - you can't ever really be "prepared" for labor and birth but I found that what we went through in the classes did help and it kept me sane in the weeks before I had my daughter because I felt like I had control of the situation...HAHA!
Anyway either way - those babies are coming out whether you go to classes or not! ;)
